Mounted on a white flecked black marble base in the Art Deco style which was at the height of fashion in the mid 1930's. The aircraft fully and smoothly articulates in every direction. Weighing just under 4kg this model is of extremely high quality and was probably used as a desk accessory.

The Vickers Wellington was a British twin-engined, long-range medium bomber. It was designed during the mid-1930s at Brooklands in Weybridge, Surrey. The first flight was in March 1936 and the aircraft were retired in March 1953. A key feature of the aircraft is its geodetic airframe fuselage structure, which was principally designed by Barnes Wallis who developed the bouncing bomb.
